||This is a complicated one, as many codecs can be used to create an avi file. If you cannot play an avi file, you most likely need to get a DivX or Xvid codec. Try google.

||Apples quicktime format. You will need to download quicktime, a video playback software, or download 'quicktime alternative' to be able to play it back in windows media player. Try google.
||Same as .qt
||Real Media format. You will need to download real player, a video playback software, or download 'real alternative' to be able to play it back in windows media player. Try google.
||Same as .rm
||Most new Windows PCs should be able to play them without issues. If you have issues, try searching google for an asf codec.
